Good question. The source, or the actual press release itself is not our target for SEO. We want that to be picked up by the media. One well placed article on a major publication is the goal. Having a quality optimized link in that release from a high ranking news site is the goal. The landing page is the recipient of the SEO.

One other point that should be added is journalist are “scan readers”; that is they scan read the document prior to actually reading it. If they see the above “Spammy” stuff it may be dismissed in less than a second or two and sent to the trash can or deleted folder.

Sharon, that’s a good question. The numbers do increase with each new release. The higher numbers are the latest. For larger companies the actual release is posted on their website. That’s the reason for the missing numbers, you are only seeing some releases on our website.

I noticed on press release page,
http://www.rapidpressrelease.com/Press-Release the press release are numbered. They look they go up but you are missing numbers in-between. Why?
